GianMarco Zignago returns to Orlando

Peruvian singer-songwriter GianMarco Zignago returned to House of Blues Orlando on Sunday, April 24th, for the last show of the US leg of his 2022 Cuarteto Acústico tour.

Joining GianMarco in this acoustic quartet are bassist Omar Rojas, pianist Kenneth Saravia and percussionist Gisella Giurfa.

The tour continues in select Latin American cities until summer.

Peruvian singer-songwriter Gianmarco Zignago returned to Orlando yesterday, Sunday, July 21st, as part of his current US Intuición tour. The show, performed to a sold-out crowd in House of Blues Orlando, featured more than twenty songs through almost three hours of uninterrupted performance.

Winner of three Latin Grammy awards, and with over 150 million records sold only in Latin America, Intuición marks his 15th production in over 25 years of musical career. Along with his 5-piece band, Gianmarco offered Orlando a memorable night of new tunes, unforgettable ones and heartfelt Peruvian pride.

Gianmarco Zignago in New York City

Peruvian singer-songwriter Gianmarco Zignago performed last Tuesday, November 7, at the Symphony Space in New York City, as part of his current Acoustic Tour.

Accompanied by just a small ensemble (Omar Rojas on bass, and Pedro Luis Pacora on piano) Gianmarco didn't need much more than his voice and effects pedals to completely fill up the space with his songs.

As an added bonus to the New York crowd, his daughter Nicole joined him on stage with one of her original songs, and performing as a duet a perfect rendition of Vida de mi Vida. It was the first time in her incipient career that she was presenting an original piece, and New York welcomed her with an honest and emotional standing ovation.

Gianmarco went back to basics that night, but not with the intention of making it easier or simpler. He's revisiting the fundamental, essential foundation of his starting point. There's no better way than that for true art to thrive.

Gianmarco Zignago in Miami

Peruvian singer-songwriter Gianmarco Zignago closed the US leg of his #LIBRE tour last night at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium.

To the surprise of some of his followers, his name is not synonymous of sold-out stadiums or arenas in the United States and other parts of the world. But that doesn't necessarily mean you're not familiar with some of his songs.

If you have paid attention to latin music in the last couple of decades, you've probably heard some of his songs from the voice of other artists: Emmanuel, Gloria Estefan, Marc Anthony, Alejandro Fernández, Jon Secada and Obie Bermúdez, to name just a select few.

And that's not an accident. It's actually by choice. He has chosen that path deliberately.

During one of his interactions with the audience, he stated:

"We don't sound on the radio, and that's OK. All of you here are our radio."

A three-time Latin Grammy Award winner, recently nominated for Best Singer-Songwriter Album and Song of the Year, he's taking his #LIBRE tour to Europe starting next month. That radio surely seems to be up full blast right now.
